Add a required field to deter comment spam?
James Asher uses an additional required field in his comments form to prevent spam on his WordPress-powered blog. Would something similar work in MovableType?

I only get about 5-10 a day, but that’s way too many in my book. In the whole hour this has been implemented, I haven’t gotten any spam comments through. I don’t think that quite counts though ;-).

Clever idea with the number passkey thing. Comment spam is a bitch. I delete 20+ spam messages per day, and I have MT-Blacklist and .htaccess methods in place that are supposed to help prevent it. Nothing seems to work very well. If this works out for you, I might be begging for your code very soon.
